Ordinance to add the City of Juneau Ordinances

Chapter 9.04.075 Unlawful use of telephone

The Common Council of the City of Juneau ordains to add:

Section 9.04.075 of the City of Juneau Ordinances – Unlawful use of telephone.

(1) Whoever does any of the following shall be subject to a penalty under Sec. 1.08.010 A 2 of the Juneau Code of Ordinance:

(a) With intent to frighten, intimidate, threaten, abuse or harass, makes a telephone call and threatens to inflict injury or physical harm to any person or the property of any person.

(b) With intent to frighten, intimidate, threaten or abuse, telephones another and uses any obscene, lewd or profane language or suggests any lewd or lascivious act.

(c) Makes a telephone call, whether or not conversation ensues, without disclosing his or her identity and with intent to abuse or threaten any person at the called number.

(2) Whoever does any of the following shall be subject to a penalty under Section 1.08.010 A 1 of the Juneau Code of Ordinances:
(a) With intent to harass or offend, telephones another and uses any obscene, lewd or profane language or suggests any lewd or lascivious act.

(b) Makes or causes the telephone of another repeatedly to ring, with intent to harass any person at the called number.

(c) Makes repeated telephone calls, whether or not conversation ensues, with intent solely to harass any person at the called number.

(d) Makes a telephone call, whether or not conversation ensues, without disclosing his or her identity and with intent to harass any person at the called number.

(e) Knowingly permits any telephone under his or her control to be used for any purpose prohibited by this section.

A.  Wholesaler's license for fermented malt beverages $  25.00

B.  Class A fermented malt beverage retailer's license $100.00

C.  Class B fermented malt beverage retailer's license $100.00

D.  Class B retailer's liquor license $150.00

E.  Class B fermented malt beverage picnic license $ 5.00

F.   Operator's license (bartender) $ 18.00

G.  Class A retailer's liquor license $150.00

H.  Operator's license (temporary) $ 18.00

I.   Operator's license (provisional) $ 18.00

 28. On the west side of South Main Street commencing at the intersection of South Street and South Main Street proceeding to the south 70.87 feet;

10.08.060 (G) (2) Parking, Stopping, and Standing Regulated.

Section 10.08.060 (G)(2) of the Juneau Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to repeal the following:

2. The sixth parking stall on the south side of E. Oak Street east of its intersection with S. Main Street shall be fifteen (15) minute parking restriction

Ordinance To Amend Chapter

17.04.270 (F) Changes and Amendments.

WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Plan Commission on Monday, June 30 th, 2008 at 6:30 PM for the purpose of hearing citizen comments, and;

WHEREAS, a Plan Commission motion to recommend this change failed for a lack of a second, causing five (5) positive votes of the Common Council to be necessary to approve the change to amend Chapter 17.04.270 (F) to the City of Juneau Ordinances:

Following such hearing and after careful consideration of the city plan commission's recommendations, the city council shall vote on the passage of the proposed change or amendment. The city plan commission's recommendations may only be overruled by a three-fourths vote of the full city council's membership.

Ordinance To Repeal From The City of Juneau Ordinances 10.08.060 (23)
Parking, Stopping, and Standing Regulated.

The Common Council of the City of Juneau ordains:

Section 10.08.060 (23) of the Juneau Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to repeal the following:

25. There shall be no parking on the east side of South Main Street beginning one hundred ninety-seven (197) feet south of the curbline of East Oak Grove Street and ending two hundred forty-five (245) feet to the south. This area shall be designated for handicapped persons only.

Ordinance To Amend Chapter
17.08.030 Zoning Map

The Common Council of the City of Juneau ordains:

17.08.030 Zoning Map

A. A certified copy of the zoning map shall be adopted and approved as part of this title and shall bear upon its face the attestation of the mayor and city clerk and shall be available to the public in the office of the city clerk.

B. Any changes to the zoning districts shall not be effective until entered and attested on this certified copy. (Prior code § 10-4-34)

The City Clerk shall maintain an official zoning map which shall bear the certification of the Mayor and City Clerk. The City Clerk shall maintain a notation on the map, or on a separate document attached to the map, of every zoning change enacted by the common council which shall identify the parcel or parcels affected by parcel number or street address. The City shall, from time to time, prepare an updated map showing all changes enacted by the council after the last map was drawn. Failure to revise the official zoning map shall not affect the validity of any enacted zoning change that was duly noted on the official zoning map or on an attachment to the official zoning map.

Of The City of Juneau Ordinances

The Common Council of the City of Juneau ordains:

2.16.010 (B) Board of Review
B. Such board shall meet annually on the second Monday of May with the first order of business being the election of a chairman, a vice-chairman, and a clerk of the board of review.

TO:
2.16.010 (B) Board of Review
B. Board shall meet annually between the second Monday of May and 30 days thereafter with the first order of business being the election of a chairman, a vice chairman, and a clerk of the Board of Review.

2.16.030 (A) Utility commission.
A. The utility commission for the city shall consist of five members who shall be selected upon a nonpartisan basis by nominations by aldermen and confirmed by majority vote of the common council for a term of five years. The terms of the commissioners shall expire successively one each year on each succeeding October 1st.

A. The Utility Commission for the city shall consist of five members who shall be selected upon a non-partisan basis nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by majority vote of the Common Council for a term of five years.

A. The city plan commission shall consist of seven members as follows: the mayor, who shall be its presiding officer, an alderman and five citizens.

A. The city Plan Commission shall consist of seven members as follows: the Mayor who shall be it’s presiding officer, an alderman, a utility representative, and four citizen members.

C. One citizen member shall be appointed annually for a term of three years, commencing on May 1st.

D. Two additional citizen members shall be appointed annually for terms of one year commencing on May 1st.

E. All vacancies on the city plan commission shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as appointment for the full term.

F. The citizen members shall take the official oath required by Section 19.01, Wis. Stats., which shall be filed with the city clerk-treasurer. (Prior code § 2-5-4)
