A. The common council shall designate a person to act as building inspector and zoning coordinator, who shall enforce all the ordinances and laws relating to the erection, alteration, repair and removal of buildings, including any lawful order issued by the Industrial Commission or any other agency of the state of Wisconsin, and there is vested in him the necessary power and authority to properly execute his duties.

B. In the temporary absence or disability of the building inspector, the mayor may appoint some competent person to temporarily fulfill his duties. (Prior code § 2-3-5)
