2023 Road Construction Projects

**Update 5/16/2023**
Kopplin and Kinas subcontractor - Hartford Landscaping will be onsite possibly late the week of May 15th and onsite the week of May 22 to begin sodding work along Hyland and Oak Street. They anticipate that this work will take about a week to complete. Northeast Asphalt is anticipated to be onsite at the end of May beginning of June to finish the asphalt driveway restoration. At that time they will be in the City to pave the binder course of asphalt along Oak Street as well as perform the mill & overlay work along Jewel, North, and South Streets.


Construction will begin the 2nd week of April and continue throughout the Summer on the roads listed below:
- W. North Street
- Jewel Street
- South Street
***E. Oak Street Update***
A Soper Sewer & Water crew is anticipating to be onsite on 4/20/2023 and 4/21/2023 to re-shape and fine grade the roadway gravel base. Sommer Construction is planning to setup string line and prep work for the new curb & gutter on 4/25/2023. Sommer anticipates installation of the new curb along the project on 4/26/2023 weather pending and will allow the curb to cure for the remainder of the week. The Sommer crew will then remobilize to the project site again during the week of May 1 to begin installing forms and prep work for the concrete sidewalk and driveways. The concrete pour for the sidewalk and driveways is anticipated during the end of this week. During the week of May 8th, Soper’s crew is anticipated to remobilize to the project site to install topsoil within the disturbed open space areas along the street. In mid-May, the landscaping sub-contractor is anticipated to be onsite to seed the disturbed open space areas of the project. In mid- to late- May, Northeast Asphalt is anticipated to mobilize to the project site to begin asphalt paving work.
